When video files are created, they can be compressed to make the file size smaller by using a program (or compressor) that is installed on the developer's computer. When you play the video file, your computer must have a decompressor installed that can read that particular compression format. This program is called a codec. When you try to play a file that uses a codec that is not installed on your computer, the Windows Media Player tries to download the codec from a Microsoft server. If the codec is available, the Windows Media Player installs it on your computer and then plays the file. However, if the codec is not available on the server (for example, because the codec was not created by Microsoft), the Windows Media Player displays a message that your computer is missing a codec. In some cases, the file that you want to play uses a codec that is not available or compatible with the Windows Media Player. When that happens, you might be unable to use Windows Media Player to play this particular .avi file.
To resolve this problem, locate and download the required codec. Before you start, you must know which version of Windows your computer is running. To determine which version of Windows that you are running. To verify that you are logged on to Windows with a user account that is a computer administrator, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

In some cases, the error message in Windows Media Player will provide information about the codec file that is required. The error message might also provide a link that you can click to download the codec file. Therefore, to resolve the problem, play the .avi file and check the error message in Windows Media Player for help.To resolve this problem, follow these steps.
Click Web Help to display information about the missing codec and the corresponding link, if the codec is available to download.Note If the link to the codec is not available, try searching the Internet for that particular codec to find where it is available. If you cannot determine which codec you must have or you cannot locate it, the codec might not be available. Or, it might not be compatible with the Windows Media Player. Therefore, you might be unable to use the Windows Media Player to play this particular.avi file.

In some cases, the error message includes the codec identifier, known as the FourCC identifier. You can use the FourCC identifier to find the manufacturer that created the codec. Then, see whether you can obtain the required codec from the manufacturer. To resolve this problem, follow these steps.
When you receive the error message, check for the FourCC identifier. If the FourCC identifier is available, note it. The four characters following the "vids:" or "vidc:" is the unique FourCC identifier that you can use to find the codec for this particular .avi file. For example, if the string is "vids:vcr2", "vcr2" is the FourCC identifier.Note If the FourCC identifier is not listed in the error message, unfortunately you cannot use Windows Media Player to play this particular .avi file.
Use the FourCC identifier to find the manufacturer that created the codec. In step 3 for example, the FourCC identifier was "vcr2". Therefore, search for "vcr2" in the FOURCC column to find the codec and manufacturer. In this example, you will notice that "ATI Video Codec 2" is listed as the name of the codec and "ATI Technologies" is listed as the owner (or manufacturer). If you cannot find the codec or manufacturer listed, you might try searching for the codec and manufacturer on the Internet by using the FourCC identifier.Note Be aware that not all manufacturers provide their codecs for you to download. If you cannot obtain the required codec from the manufacturer, you will be unable to use the Windows Media Player to play this particular .avi file.
Be aware that .avi files can contain several different audio or video formats. To play an .avi file, you must use the .avi file player and the relevant codec file to decompress the .avi file. Although it's claimed by the official site that the Nexus 7 can play MP4 files, there are times where you'll still fail to play MP4 on Nexus 7. What's wrong with it? Why can't the Nexus 7 play an MP4 file? It's probably due to the incompatible video codec. Different MP4 files may store files with different video codecs. Nexus 7 only supports some of the various video codecs available. The other possibility might be because of the video parameters such as the frame rate, bit rate and resolution, which are not supported by Nexus 7. Despite the incompatibilities, you'll need a video conversion to make your MP4 files fully compatible with the device.
Using developer options, you can not only check the transmission codec supported but also check the supported bit-rate and sampling rate. The process detailed above will not reveal the full list of supported Bluetooth Codecs for your phone, which is why Method 2 mentioned below is more reliable but requires basic knowledge of operating ADB terminal.
Step 5: To start with, search for Profile: A2dpService . You will find the codec being used and other details a few lines below written next to mCodecConfig:
Step 8: To check for codecs supported on your phone, you can also search for A2DP State for example A2DP AAC Sate or A2DP SBC state and scroll up-down to check for all the supported codecs.
Method 1. Fixed Windows Media Player won't play AVI Issue by install the codec neededMethod 2. Transform AVI videos to be compatible with Windows Media Player with 3 simple stepsMethod 3. Bypass Windows Media Player and apply some other AVI video players
The problems occur when playing AVI videos using Windows Media Player lie in that Windows Media Player lacks the proper AVI compressor/decompressor or codec. In order to play AVI movies well with WMP, you need to install DivX or XviD codecs first.
You can download and install the DivX or XviD codecs. (Get DivX codecs at: -5 and XviD codecs at ) Then restart your computer and you can then play .avi files with Windows Media Player. Or get K-Lite Codec Pack, a collection of codecs. Generally speaking, with K-Lite Codec Pack installed, you can play almost all the movie and the AVI files should be able to play in Windows Media Player. (Download K-Lite Codec Pack at -codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm)
If you are not familiar with how to handle video codec for Windows Media Player, there are other methods for you to play AVI files with Windows Media Player. Another way to play AVI in Windows is to convert AVI to WMV, ASF, etc. Windows Media Player formats. (Generally, there is no problem about the WMV and ASF playback in Windows.) You can use Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate to convert your AVI videos in Window (Windows 8 included).
Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate can also convert AVI videos to play on iPhone, iPad, Android smart phones and many other devices since it offers several optimized presets for these devices. If you don't want to change the video format, the build-in video player in Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate can also fulfill your needs to play AVI videos on Windows-based computer. All you need to do is load the video you want to watch into the program. What's more, no any extra codec package is needed.
Unfortunately, the video codec support is quite subpar. Most videos we tried resulted in an "audio codec not supported" message and even some basic video codecs don't work (i.e. DivX). MKV, AVI (XviD) and MP4 videos do play, but anything beyond MP3 or AAC sound is no-go.
Traditionally these codecs offered increased resolutions or frame rates but often at the expense of bit depth, color fidelity and a file that was designed to be played back rather than be manipulated through the edit or grade.
H.265 is a powerful codec option, however whether it is the right tool for the job will depend on your needs and the chosen workflow. In general, H.265 is most suitable in situations where you need to deliver high quality files quickly, without any manipulation in post or color grading, and where it is important that you create easily sharable files that are compatible with a wide range of platforms.
Ninja V provides additional flexibility by offering a choice of industry-standard recording formats. This means you can choose the frame size, frame rate, and codec that best suits the needs of your workflow and delivery requirements. Ninja V also allows you to record HDMI RAW inputs up to 6K at 30fps, whilst simultaneously looping out standard YCC video via HDMI to non-RAW compatible devices. 2ff7e9595c
